Okay, blogging is much better than unpacking. Need to finish dining room today - don't want to. Need to do laundry today - don't want to. Need to scan and fax stuff for accountant guru for meeting on Friday - don't want to.
Want to finish knitting mittens today, having gone Nordic and knitting fair isle mittens - won't have time.
Week 6 of having moved from Virginia to Minnesota. Adjusting slowly, jerkily, hesitantly and for two of boys, without any desire. So far, have managed to unpack and organize 3 out of 4 of boys rooms, need to fine tune one room this weekend. Unpacked and organized kitchen, now adding plants at an alarming rate, oops, beginning to look like a green house. Unpacked and organized family room. Partially unpacked and organized den/library. Need to finish living room. Need to unpack and organized my craft room, our bedroom, basement playroom and lots and lots of yarn and fabric.
So far today, have played on computer setting up family calendar (arguably okay activity as it will presumably save time in future), washed 2 loads of laundry (still need to fold), found 3 new and free mitten patterns on web, answered email, and spent more time than should be admitted to standing outside in beautiful, but cold, sunshine, watching the two big dogs bear wrestle, photographed icicles on house.
Goals this week other than unpacking and, of course, mittens, take boys sledding, start and stay on diet, sort and select at least two boxes of household items to donate.
